PASO DE TIZA[CHALK WALK], 2010.
PUBLIC SPACE INTERVENTION WITH WHITE CHALK ON A PEDESTRIAN CROSSING.
SANTIAGO, CHILE.
At dawn, white chalk sticks were placed across a pedestrian crossing, forming a series of continuous parallel lines. Through the passage of pedestrians and vehicles, the straight line gradually begins to fracture, while the chalk bars themselves disintegrate into dust, taking on the qualities of pigment. The intervention reaches its conclusion when a municipal worker sweeps the chalk away, an action that inadvertently generates a painterly expansion.
